Experience with Long-term File System Tracing
To build better file systems for clusters, we first need to understand
how current file systems are used. For this project, we collected
long-term traces in order to study how disk behavior matures. In this
talk, I will highlight a few of the results generated from long-term
trace analysis. I will also discuss the benefits and challenges of using
the cluster to process massive amounts of data.
