Some possible projects in system administration
- Work on merging together all of the ideas of the various package
installation/management tools (modules, depot, lude, etc.)
- Work on producing a system which monitors many different services
along with dependancies in the monitoring (buzzard, pong, big brother, etc.)
- Make the monitoring system automatically detect services to be monitored.
- Make the monitoring system able to correct problems.
(for example, restarting failed processes)
- Work on a tool which will compare systems for similarity, and produce
scripts to make them more similar if desired.
If you are interested in working on any of these projects with me,
or can suggest some other projects, please
send me mail.
