Assignment 2
As promised, here are the results in text
and figure ( postscript )
form. The times are just identified by a number, but everyone
probably has a reasonable idea of how their code did.
The groups are roughly listed in order of how they did on the 16x16
case (the only motivation being to make the graph easier to read).
We'll only identify the following 4 groups:
- Group 1 (Ian Goldberg and Dan Byrum) received a prize for the
peak performance on any size matrix.
- Group 2 is code generated automatically by PHiPAC .
- Group 4 (Greg Ushomirskiy and Andrei Moutchkine) received a prize
for the best sustained performance.
- Group 11 is the naive code. You all beat it on the 256x256
case, even those who weren't thinking about winning the optional contest.
